Job summary

TRC Talent Solutions is seeking a PC Technician to diagnose, repair, and prepare computers and related devices for end-users. The role emphasizes high service quality, minimal downtime and clear documentation.

You will work in a fast-paced IT support environment, collaborating with project leads, following safety and operational protocols, and contributing to process improvements. Prior electronics repair or IT support experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in electronics repair or IT support preferred.
• Comfortable working with hardware and software, including handheld devices.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to precisely follow technical procedures.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills are essential.
• Soldering experience is considered a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications are a bonus.
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and handle small parts and tools accurately.
• Capable of lifting up to 30 lbs for handling equipment.
• Commitment to safety and operational standards at all times.

Responsibilities

• Identify and troubleshoot issues with computers, laptops, and related hardware (hardware failures, software malfunctions, performance problems).
• Repair or replace malfunctioning hardware components such as drives, memory, screens, and power supplies.
• Perform hardware upgrades, including RAM and processor improvements.
• Install, configure, and update operating systems, drivers, and software applications.
• Ensure devices run optimally and resolve software-related issues.
• Inspect incoming units for damage or defects prior to repair procedures.
• Document repair processes and communicate with project leads and team members.
• Provide troubleshooting support to customers and end-users post-repair.
• Repackage and label repaired devices for shipment.
• Support process improvement initiatives and adhere to guidelines.
