Job summary

St. John's Riverside Hospital in Yonkers is seeking a PC Technician to handle microcomputer hardware and software installations, provide help desk support, and assist with network and virus protection across hospital locations.

The role requires an HS diploma with technical training and 1–3 years of relevant experience; travel between Riverside Health Care System facilities is expected. This position offers on-site work at multiple sites within Westchester County.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair all PC-based hardware and software.

• Maintain logs of all hardware and software and assist Applications staff when necessary.
• Provide coverage for computer operator shifts when required.

Responsibilities

The PC Technician performs microcomputer hardware and software installations and help desk support. Performs network support as directed. Supports all hospital locations. Duties include installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing all PC based hardware and software. Provides support to end users on PC based applications. Monitors network and software usage and access and virus protection. Maintains logs of all hardware and software and assists Applications staff when necessary. Also provides coverage for computer operator shifts when necessary.

Qualifications

HS diploma or equivalent with additional technical school training in computer technology.Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience with microcomputer, windows software and networks is required.Working knowledge of Windows operating systems, Citrix PC and Networking hardware, Anti-Virus, Email, Internet security, MS Office Ethernet or TCP/IP Topologies as well as PC Emulation. Good communications and customer relationship skills required. A+ Certification preferred.Travel between the facilities associated with Riverside Health Care System.
