Job summary

STRATEGIC STAFFING SOLUTIONS (S3) seeks a PC Support Technician in Burlington, KS. Onsite role on a W2 contract basis for 6+ months, with potential extension or conversion. Schedule: four 10-hour shifts, Mon–Thurs, 7am–5pm with some flexibility.

The PC Technician will install, maintain, and upgrade workstation hardware, software, and OS, support printing devices, mobile devices, and manage PC moves and upgrades. Strong problem-solving for escalated Service Desk tickets is required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or 4+ years in desktop OS and networking required.
• Experience with Windows 10/11, Office 365 and AD DNS.
• Strong hardware and printer knowledge.
• Ability to troubleshoot conference room AV issues.
• Experience with MECM, Citrix and VDI is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and upgrade workstation hardware, software, and OS.
• Support single and multifunction printers, mobile devices, and data systems.
• Perform PC moves and hardware upgrades as needed.
• Resolve escalated Service Desk tickets with technical knowledge.
• Provide expertise to solve medium to highly complex problems.

Job Description

The PC Technician will install, maintain, and upgrade workstation hardware, software, and operating systems, support single and multifunction printing devices, smart phones, tablet devices, and mobile data systems. This position also involves PC moves and equipment upgrades. This person must be able to resolve problems associated with Service Desk tickets that need escalated. Individual must also provide technical knowledge and expertise necessary to solve medium to highly complex problems.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of Windows 10, Windows 11, Microsoft Office 365, Teams is required.
• Understanding of DNS and Active Directory (what it does and how it works).
• Must be familiar with maintaining laptop and PC hardware in addition to laser printer technology.
• Must have the ability to troubleshoot conference room issues that include A/V equipment.
• Experience with MECM (SCCM), Citrix, Virtual Desktop, and other Operating Systems is preferred.

Education/Experience

• Associate’s Degree in a computer science-related field and 2 years desktop operating and networking systems OR
• 4 years recent experience in desktop operating and networking systems
