Job summary

Veracity Ventures Inc. is seeking a senior actuarial professional with strong Property & Casualty experience to drive pricing, reserving and regulatory activities in a hybrid work setting at our Bloomington, IL location.

The ideal candidate will hold an ACAS designation (or be close to obtaining it) and actively pursue FCAS credentials while leveraging data analytics and predictive modeling to support rate filings and product line decisions.

Qualifications

• Strong Property & Casualty insurance experience is required.
• ACAS designation or near completion is required and FCAS is actively pursued.
• Pursues CAS designation through ACAS level.

Responsibilities

• Researches and analyzes data to produce rate adjustment proposals, reserve estimates or economic capital models.
• Support for filings with state insurance departments; implement new rates and rating plans.
• Analyze data for actuarial or product line management and provide recommendations.

Job description

This role is not open to fully remote work, as the site location is Bloomington IL. However, Bloomington employees have flexibility to work from home 2 days per week and onsite 3 days per week.

The ideal candidate will possess strong Property & Casualty insurance experience, have achieved ACAS designation (or be very close to obtaining it), and be actively pursuing FCAS credentials.

Researches and analyzes various types of data to produce rate adjustment proposals, reserve estimates or economic capital models; and/or actuarial support for filings with state insurance departments; and/or to implement new rates and rating plans, using existing procedures, recommending changes where appropriate.

Analyzes data towards developing and proposing solutions for actuarial or product line management.

Pursues a Casualty Actuarial Society designation at least through Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS) level.

Maintains appropriate Continuing Education credit to maintain Actuarial credentials.

Researches and analyzes data for special projects within a defined scope. Serves as Property/Casualty Actuarial representative for project committees as assigned.
