Apex Systems is hiring a PC Refresh associate for a large Healthcare client in Santa Clara, CA. This 100% on-site role requires transporting equipment, imaging, and deploying updates across Windows 10/11 environments.

You will stage, replace, and troubleshoot PCs, laptops, and tablets, with a focus on asset management, data transfer, and email support. Travel to multiple local sites is required.

Qualifications

• Must have 1–2 years of PC hardware upgrades, support, installation and deployment experience.
• Direct client interaction experience is required.
• Familiarity with Windows OS and basic networking concepts is expected.

Responsibilities

• Receive and manage computing assets and move equipment between facilities.
• Stage equipment for build and imaging activities.
• Execute equipment replacement and deployment plans.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot PC hardware, software, and peripherals.
• Perform data transfer and recovery processes.

Role Overview

We are seeking a technician to support a robust Microsoft-based network environment. This role involves providing desktop and networking support for Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Office 365. The position requires expertise in PC desktops, laptops, and tablets to perform various IT support duties under the guidance of IT representatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and manage computing assets, including moving equipment between facilities.


• Stage equipment for build and imaging activities.


• Execute equipment replacement and deployment plans.


• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot PC hardware, software, and computer peripherals.


• Perform data transfer and recovery processes.


• Resolve basic network communication problems and provide e-mail administration.


• Update asset management systems to reflect work performed.


• Prepare assets for disposition and perform other administrative duties as required.


• Travel to various local sites will be required.

Required Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma.

Experience: 1-2 years of experience with PC hardware upgrades, support, installation, and deployment. Experience with direct client interaction is necessary.

Technical Skills:

• Experience with PC hardware troubleshooting and repair.


• Knowledge of installing Windows operating systems, software, and applications.


• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).


• Basic understanding of networking concepts such as Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, and Group Policy.


• Familiarity with commands like IPConfig.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Mac systems is a plus.

Work Environment

The dress code for this position is business casual. This role requires the ability to lift up to 20 lbs regularly and, with assistance, up to 50 lbs as needed. The position involves 100% travel to local sites, potentially transporting equipment in a personal vehicle.
