Apex Systems is hiring for a PC Refresh/Associate Workstation position for a large Healthcare client. Location: Honolulu, Hawaii (On-site).
Role Overview
This position involves supporting a robust Microsoft-based network environment. The role focuses on providing desktop and networking support, managing PC hardware and software, and ensuring the smooth operation of computing assets for clients. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of IT representatives to execute deployment plans and provide technical assistance.
Key Responsibilities
- Support a network environment running Windows10/11 and Microsoft Office365.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot PC hardware, software, and computer peripherals.
- Receive, move, and stage computing assets for build and imaging activities.
- Execute equipment replacement and update the asset management system to reflect work performed.
- Perform data transfer and recovery, and resolve basic network communication problems.
- Prepare computers for deployment by scanning existing assets for applications and settings.
- Interview clients to identify special considerations and settings for pre-deployment discovery.
- Manage incoming and outgoing assets and prepare them for disposition.
- Collaborate with teammates to identify process improvements and assist other technicians as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Entry-level experience with PC support, including installation, deployment, and hardware troubleshooting and repair.
- HSD/GED.
- VALID driver’s license.
- Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
- Familiarity with Windows10/11, Microsoft Office365, MS Teams, Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, and Group Policy.
- Well-versed in installing Windows operating systems, software, and applications.
- Basic understanding of profile management and data transfer.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Mac systems is a plus.
Work Environment
- This is an on-site position requiring 100% travel within an average distance of 20 miles.
- The role requires lifting an average of 20 lbs and a maximum of 50 lbs with assistance.
- The technician will transport equipment in a personal vehicle.
