Job summary

Genesis HealthCare System seeks an IT Technician to provide user support, maintenance, training, installation, and project coordination. The role covers daily end-user device support, printers, scanners, and related desktop technologies in a 40-hour week on day shift.

You will troubleshoot software, perform routine maintenance, document procedures, and collaborate with imaging services and partners. Knowledge of Windows, TCP/IP, and Outlook/Office 365 is essential.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a two-year college degree.
  • Two years’ experience with Intel-based personal computer hardware and software including Windows operating systems and associated software and utilities in a Windows Networking environment.
  • A+ certification or relevant certification completed within 1 year of start date.
  • Experience with Windows 10, Apple iOS and Android handheld devices.
  • Experience with TCP/IP, Ethernet and wireless networks.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively via telephone and in person when dealing with both internal and external customers/vendors.
  • Experience with Outlook Email System and Office 365 Products.

Responsibilities

  • Provides on-call support on a rotating basis outside the regular hours of operation.
  • Provides on-site support for partner companies as needed.
  • Subscribes to relevant technology information channels to stay informed of security vulnerabilities.
  • Proactively assesses potential items of risk and opportunities of vulnerability in the network.

Overview of Position

Performs user support, maintenance, training, installation, and project coordination, as required in the support of assigned systems. This position provides daily operational support for end user devices, peripherals and other related desktop technologies that may be used daily and require hands on support.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
