Job Overview:

Receives all incoming hospital and operator calls. The shift hours are as follows: Friday 3pm-11pm, Saturday 7am-3pm and 3pm-11pm and Sunday 7am-3pm.

General Responsibilities:

  • Handles overhead paging system and uses beeper system when appropriate.
  • Assists ER Registration staff as requested.
  • Maintains good public relations with hospital personnel, physicians and their staff, insurance companies, and patients.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, customer service skills, and strong leadership are required.
  • Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum, high school diploma
  • One year experience in PBX, Customer Service or related field
  • On the job training with seasoned employee
  • Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills and customer service skills required.
  • Able to type 30 WPM with accuracy in spelling.
  • Able to handle stressful situations.
  • Must be flexible in work schedule.
