St. Davids South Austin Medical Center is seeking a PBX Operator to manage the hospital switchboard, monitor alarms, and disseminate information during internal emergencies.
The role requires professional communication, prompt call handling, and accurate paging to physicians and staff. Responsibilities include maintaining on-call assignments, routing calls, protecting patient confidentiality, logging codes, and contributing to quality and process improvement initiatives.

The PBX Operator coordinates the hospital switchboard, handling incoming, outgoing, and internal telephone calls. He/She is the primary person responsible for monitoring all alarm indicators and disseminating information in the event of internal emergencies such as Dr. Leo, fires, and emergency alarms. He/she is primary person responsible for performing overhead pages.
