JOB SUMMARY
Operates switchboard and paging system under the guidelines established by the department

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Processes all calls generated through the switchboard.
Pages physicians and employees
Acts as the receptionist at the switchboard
Maintains a list of telephone numbers for on-call personnel as well as their hospital extensions.

Qualifications:

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education
High school diploma or equivalent - Preferred
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Minimum Work Experience
Minimum of 2 years PBX experience displaying an even temperament. Prior supervisory experience desirable.
