Job summary

Providence Regional Medical Center Everett is seeking an operator to manage the hospital's main line, physician answering service and in-house calls. You will assist visitors, handle paging, and coordinate critical emergency communications across trauma and other codes.

You will monitor alarm panels and participate in drills while contributing to a patient-centered, supportive environment and a culture of care aligned with Providence's mission.

Qualifications

• Previous switchboard experience in healthcare setting.
• Answering service experience or answering phones at large organizations.
• Healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer all calls to the hospital's main number, physician's answering service and in-house operator.
• Provide in-person visitor information, reception and paging.
• Coordinate emergency communications including Trauma Codes, Codes Red/Blue/Yellows, and helicopter landing.
• Monitor hospital alarm panels and participate in fire and disaster drills.

Responsible for answering all incoming calls into the hospital's main telephone number, physician's answering service and in house operator calls; provides in person visitor information, reception, and paging. Coordinates all emergency communications to include Trauma Codes, Codes 4, NICU, Codes Red, Codes Blue, Codes Yellows, Codes 900, and Helicopter Landing. Monitors Hospital Alarm Panels, handles all Fire and Disaster Drills and operates hospital two way radios.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Pay Range: $22.50 - $38.82
