Job summary

Automotive Parts Headquarters in South Dakota is seeking a PBE Technical Specialist based in Sioux Falls or Rapid City to support customers, stores, and sales teams across both territories.

You will use your knowledge of Paint, Body, and Equipment (PBE) products to provide technical support, product training, and on-site assistance, building strong relationships with collision repair customers.

Travel throughout Eastern and Western South Dakota to support locations and drive PBE business growth.

Qualifications

• 2-year degree or certification in Automotive Refinishing, Auto Body, or a related field from a recognized institution preferred.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience in the automotive paint and body industry.
• Strong knowledge of PBE products, refinishing processes, and related equipment.
• Certification in Collision Painting and Refinishing preferred.
• Experience providing technical support, customer service, and/or sales within the PBE industry.
• Experience training or mentoring customers and team members.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with customers, vendors, and team members.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and account management software.
• Valid driver's license and the ability to travel extensively throughout both assigned territories.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise and support to customers, stores, and sales team members.
• Support PBE sales efforts and help achieve division sales and business goals.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with collision repair center customers throughout both territories.
• Recommend PBE products, equipment, and solutions based on customer needs.
• Provide on-site technical assistance and troubleshoot product or equipment concerns.
• Train customers and store employees on PBE products, equipment, techniques, and best practices.
• Stay current on industry trends, products, technology, and manufacturer training.
• Work closely with manufacturers and vendors to stay informed on new products and technical developments.
• Assist stores with PBE product inventory, merchandising, and inventory control.
• Deliver responsive, professional customer service and follow through on customer concerns.
• Travel throughout Eastern and Western South Dakota to support customers and locations.

Are you an experienced automotive refinishing professional who enjoys helping customers, solving technical challenges, and sharing your expertise? We are looking for aPBE Technical Specialist who can be based in eitherSioux Falls or Rapid City and will support customers, stores, and sales teams throughoutboth geographic territories in South Dakota.
