Citizens Bank in San Francisco seeks a Senior Client Relations Manager to support Relationship Managers and private banking clients through origination to post-close, while mentoring junior staff and driving credit analysis excellence.

You will coordinate meetings, review client deposits, and contribute to pricing and underwriting discussions across multiple loan products. This role requires leadership and deep product knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Assist fielding prospects, including introductory meetings and rate quotes when RM unavailable.
• Understand RM's clientele and product specialty.
• Review existing clients for deposit opportunities and prospects.
• Respond to client inquiries and servicing requests promptly.
• Coordinate client meetings, events, and gifts with RM.
• Manage active loan pipeline from preapproval through closing and post-close.
• Pre-qualifications and documentation analysis for prospective clients.
• Answer questions about Initial Loan Estimate.
• Initiate calls from new and returning clients.
• Engage in pricing, deal structuring, underwriting, and credit policy for multiple loan products.
• Lead credit pre-screening discussions with Private Bank Credit Officers.
• Partner with RMs aiming to become independent to learn Citizens Private Bank products.

Description

The Sr PB Client Relations Manager assists clients with the loan application process and services their needs post-loan close. The Sr CRM has a profound understanding of the loan origination process as well as servicing channels for mortgage and deposit requests. The Sr CRM also assists with credit analysis and prequalification, though specific loan product is dependent on their respective Relationship Manager. The Sr Client Relations Manager is able to stand in for their Relationship Manager in their absence. The PB Client Relations Manager assists clients with the loan application process and services their needs post-loan close. The Senior Client Relations Manager cultivates a positive and supportive team environment by actively mentoring and coaching junior colleagues on technical skills, best practices, and professional development.

Primary responsibilities include

• Assist with fielding prospects, including taking introductory meetings and providing rates when the Relationship Manager is not available.


• Firm understanding of Relationship Manager's clientele and product specialty.


• Routinely reviews existing client base for deposit opportunities and prospects.


• Respond to client inquiries and servicing requests in a timely manner


• Assists their respective relationship manager with coordinating client meetings, events, and gifts.


• Manages the active loan pipeline, assisting the client from the preapproval stage, through underwriting, closing, and post close:


• Pre-qualifications and documentation analysis for prospective clients.


• Answering questions about Initial Loan Estimate.


• Takes initial client calls from new clients, when needed, and takes most initial deal screening calls from returning clients.


• Is knowledgeable in pricing, deal structuring, analysis, underwriting, and credit policy for more than one loan product (ex. Residential + CRE/MF).


• Plays a leading role in credit pre-screening work and conversations with Private Bank Credit Officers.


• Internal RM's who intend to become independent RM's partner with RMD's to create a plan on familiarizing themselves with Citizens Private Bank products and services beyond loan products.

Qualifications, Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials

• 5-10+ years of experience supporting Relationship Managers and private bank clients


• Proven track record of managing the lending process from origination through closing, with specialized expertise in commercial and consumer lending and credit analysis for both closely held businesses and sophisticated, high-net-worth clients, required


• Bachelor’s Degree


• Experience with structuring and documenting complex loan structures, highly valued


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to manage relationships and partner closely with clients and internal stakeholders.


• Potential to lead a team of Client Relations Managers and Associates, providing coaching, performance management, and ongoing mentorship to drive high levels of client service, operational excellence, and team engagement Hours & Work Schedule Hours per Week: 40 Work Schedule: M-F Pay Transparency The salary range for this position is $185,000.00 - $240,000.00 per year, plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the budget, work location, and relevant skills and experience.
