Job summary

Abbott Park, IL location within the CHR Corporate Human Resources division is seeking a Payroll Tax Associate II to ensure accurate processing, reconciliation, and compliant payroll taxes after payroll runs.

You will perform state unemployment rate reviews, resolve payroll tax notices, and manage employee tax inquiries in a fast-paced, onsite environment. The role supports quarter-end and year-end activities and requires attention to detail and strong communication.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of payroll experience, preferably in a large corporate environment.
• Knowledge of U.S. payroll laws and regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct State Unemployment Insurance rate reviews, ensuring accuracy, timely updates, and proper application across jurisdictions.
• Review, research, and resolve payroll tax notices with federal, state, and local authorities.
• Manage employee-facing payroll tax inquiries with timely, accurate responses.
• Process and resolve employee ticket requests for W-2C in compliance with reporting requirements.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve payroll tax fallouts and system errors.
• Support quarter-end and year-end payroll tax activities, including reconciliations and filings.
