Job summary

Abbott Park, IL, is hiring a Payroll Tax Associate II to ensure accurate processing, reconciliation, and compliance of payroll taxes after payroll is run. You will handle federal, state, and local tax filings and coordinate with internal teams and agencies.

The role requires attention to detail, self-motivation, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, onsite environment, supporting testing, project work, and issue resolution through our ticketing system and external communications.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• 1+ years of payroll experience in a large corporate environment.
• Knowledge of U.S. payroll laws and regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct State Unemployment Insurance rate reviews.
• Review and resolve payroll tax notices.
• Respond to employee payroll tax inquiries.
• Process W-2C ticket requests.
• Identify and resolve payroll tax discrepancies.
• Support quarter- and year-end payroll tax activities.
