Job summary

Paycom is seeking a Payroll Tax Manager in Texas to oversee all payroll tax activities across affiliates, ensuring federal, state, and local compliance. The role partners with Payroll, Finance, HR, and external vendors to resolve tax issues and support acquisitions and mergers.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of payroll tax experience, CPP/FPC/CPA preferred, and strong analytical skills. Travel is occasional.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of payroll tax experience with multi-state exposure
• CPP/FPC/CPA or equivalent preferred
• Strong knowledge of Form 941/940, W-2, W-3 and related filings

Responsibilities

• Oversee all payroll tax activities for the organization and affiliates
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations
• Review and file payroll tax returns (e.g., 941, 940, W-2, W-3) accurately and timely
• coordinate tax registrations and respond to notices from tax agencies
• Support mergers, acquisitions, and organizational changes from a payroll tax perspective
