Job summary

Morgan Stanley seeks an experienced process and operations leader to drive Payroll systems initiatives and production excellence across US and Canada. This role bridges Payroll Operations, Payroll Tax, HR Technology and stakeholders, delivering business analysis, governance, and continuous improvement.

The Manager, Payroll Systems Solutions & Process Excellence leads discovery, requirements, solution design, tests, and documentation, ensuring audit-ready controls and knowledge management.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience developing, supporting, and scaling Payroll systems such as ADP platforms.
• 5+ years of experience in Business Analysis, Process Improvement, Operations, or related functions.
• Experience developing BRDs, SOPs, process maps, and governance docs.
• Experience coordinating payroll production matters and stakeholder coordination.
• Experience coordinating UAT, test scripts, and change readiness activities.
• Exposure to predictive analytics, AI, and automation tools (e.g., RPA).

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary production lead for payroll systems issues and business readiness.
• Lead discovery, requirements gathering, process analysis, and solution design.
• Create and maintain BRDs, functional specs, SOPs, workflows, and training materials.
• Own Payroll Systems documentation and maintain knowledge repository.
• Lead project coordination: action items, RAID logs, status reports, readiness.
• Triage payroll production issues and support root-cause analysis and remediation.
• Drive process redesign and continuous improvement for efficiency and controls.
• Coordinate UAT activities and obtain business signoffs.
• Provide backup support for testing coordination during major implementations.
