Job summary

Bellevue School District seeks a Payroll Analyst II (Temporary) to lead the payroll processing within a complex, public-sector environment. You will support ERP implementation, ensure data accuracy, manage leave and accruals, and coordinate with HR and finance to deliver timely payrolls.

The role requires Associates degree in accounting or related field and at least three years of payroll experience within a large organization, with preferred exposure to education settings and ERP systems like

Qualifications

• Knowledge of computerized payroll processing.
• Knowledge of general accounting practices and procedures.
• Knowledge of tax laws affecting payroll and benefits programs.
• Knowledge of office methods, procedures, and systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist with system implementation of the payroll portion of a new ERP system, including pay definition, configuration, data conversion/clean-up, testing, and parallel testing.
• Run payroll processes with multiple calculations and batch processes; review and correct errors before live payroll.
• Audit third-party timecard processes; correct data, document changes, and reverify.
• Monitor leave, accruals, and related contracts; coordinate with HR to stop assignments as needed.
• Review payroll systems and procedures; assist in data maintenance and reporting; oversee printing of warrants and electronic transfers.
• Monitor general ledger payroll transactions with journal entries.
• Ensure compliance with bargaining unit changes in benefits, leaves, and contracts.
• Process wage garnishments and other payroll assignments; assist benefits and retirement offices as needed.
