Job summary

State of Nebraska's Correctional Services agency in Lincoln, NE is seeking a Payroll Supervisor at the Central Office. The role oversees payroll cycles, benefits administration, and regulatory compliance, while modeling the agency values of integrity, respect, and excellence.

The position guides HR/payroll decisions for staff and ensures accurate, timely pay processing. The successful candidate will manage payroll personnel, contribute to open enrollment, and support onboarding of new hires,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; experience may substitute education on a year-for-year basis.
• Demonstrated payroll/benefits experience; proficiency in payroll systems (ADP, Workday, SAP, Oracle).
• Supervisory experience with ability to lead and develop a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance on human resource/payroll issues to NDCS employees and supervisors.
• Supervise HR payroll assistants including on‑the‑job training at Central Office.
• Assist payroll manager in reviewing journal entries, back pays, and final payrolls for accuracy.
