Job summary

MarinHealth is seeking a Payroll Specialist to assist with processing, procedures, and audits for biweekly payroll. You will provide friendly service to payroll customers and support training and team development within the Payroll staff.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s in Accounting or related field with CPP preferred, and at least 2 years’ experience in payroll processing within a large organization. Workday experience is preferred, and confidentiality is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field.
• CPP preferred but will substitute relevant experience.
• 2+ years payroll processing experience in a large organization.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation, processing, and auditing of payroll; interpret pay practices and union contracts.
• Review EARs and TADs for hires, changes, leaves, terminations, and raises; ensure accuracy.
• Produce payroll reports and accruals for budgets and compliance; support audits and analysis.
• Assist with data collection, training, and process improvements within Payroll.
