Job summary

Ledgent is seeking a Payroll Clerk to manage time-card imports, audit payroll data, and prepare payroll checks for on-cycle and off-cycle runs in a fast-paced environment.

You will collaborate with Human Resources to ensure accurate data for new hires, terminations, transfers, and rate changes, and handle questions on PTO, garnishments, taxes, and related issues. Strong attention to detail and tight deadlines are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• 2 years experience with computerized payroll processing.
• Experience with ADP Workforce, Peoplesoft HR/Payroll and Kronos a plus.
• Microsoft Word and Excel proficiency.
• Able to handle highly confidential information.
• Must be detail oriented and able to adhere to tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and imports employee time cards into the payroll system or via spreadsheets completed and approved by the Business Unit.
• Checks figures for accuracy and necessary approvals.
• Reviews payroll documentation for accuracy through audit reports and makes adjustments as needed.
• Prints, sorts, and distributes payroll checks to clinic offices for on-cycle and off-cycle runs.
• Communicates with Human Resources to ensure accuracy of payroll data for hires, terminations, transfers, and rate changes.
• Processes special payrolls including annual bonus and year-end adjustments.
• Resolves questions from managers and employees on payroll processing (PTO, ESL, garnishments, taxes, etc.).
• Assists in special projects as assigned; performs other duties as needed.
