Job summary

Qualifications

• AA/AAS in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration or 1 additional year of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
• 3 years’ experience as a Payroll Specialist or equivalent related experience.

Responsibilities

• Process and validate payroll data, including timesheet coding and pay-related transactions.
• Review payroll transactions for earnings, deductions, and tax calculations.
• Administer wage withholding orders and garnishments per laws and regulations.
• Reconcile payroll and benefit-related general ledger liability accounts.
• Maintain payroll documentation and reporting; ensure timely employee payments.
• Assist with processing and reporting quarterly and annual payroll taxes.
• Respond to payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with applicable policies, laws and agreements.
