Golden State Water Company is seeking a Payroll Specialist I to support weekly and bi-weekly payroll processing, payroll taxes, 401(k) contributions, and monthly reconciliations. The role focuses on accurate data entry, report preparation, and compliance with federal and state regulations.

Strong Excel skills and confidentiality are essential for success. You will collaborate with Human Capital Management to ensure timely payroll processing, manage payroll journals, and assist with year-end

Competenze

Associates degree in Finance, Accounting or Business, or equivalent experience.
Three years’ experience in accounting/finance or payroll area.
Proficiency in Excel and spreadsheet application.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations.

Mansioni

Assists in processing payroll and maintains employee payroll records in compliance with wage regulations.
Performs routine accounting and bookkeeping tasks, including payroll account analyses.
Interacts with regional management and Human Capital Management to ensure timely payroll.
Reconciles payroll prior to transmission and validates reports.
Monitors workflow to ensure payroll transactions are accurate and timely.
Performs daily payroll department operations and related tasks.
Reviews year-end W-2s and wage reconciliations.
