Job summary

Asure Software is seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage payroll processing for small business clients, ensuring accurate records, tax calculations, and timely delivery of payroll services.

You will handle weekly and semi-monthly payrolls, verify timekeeping, and maintain employee payroll records. This on-site role in High Point, NC emphasizes strong customer service, software proficiency, and the ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced SaaS environment.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years automated payroll systems experience or equivalent accounting experience.
• Previous payroll experience in a client facing environment.
• Previous customer service experience.
• Knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to deliver under tight deadlines or unusual or critical situations.
• Professional presentation of written information, that is clear and effective for success with clients.
• Direct experience in a variety of SaaS payroll systems, and your ability to learn new ones.
• Background of in-house payroll processing experience in a small to mid‑sized business is highly preferred, but not required.

• Process involuntary deductions such as levies and garnishments.
• Prepare special reports for management.

This is an on‑site role based out of the High Point, NC area.

How you will contribute

Our Payroll Specialist works to serve our small business clients to manage their changing payroll needs. The face of payroll to a dedicated client base, you partner to deliver expert payroll processing and services. Responsible for establishing and maintaining employee payroll records, they own the activities necessary to provide dedicated quality processing services.

Compensation

The base hourly range for this position is up to $27.00, based on relevant experience, skills, and industry knowledge.
