Qualifications

• At least 3 years of payroll experience.
• Experience with high-volume, multi-state, and multi-entity payroll.
• Strong Excel skills including PivotTables and lookup functions (XLOOKUP, VLOOKUP).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Comfort working with AI-supported systems and evolving technology.
• Analytical, problem-solving mindset and ability to look beyond task completion.
• Ability to adapt to ongoing changes in processes and priorities.

About the Role

As a Payroll Specialist, you’ll play an important role in ensuring payroll is processed accurately and efficiently across multiple states and business entities. You’ll work in a fast-paced environment where priorities and processes continue to evolve, so we’re looking for someone who is comfortable with change, learns quickly, and enjoys solving problems.

This role is a strong fit for someone with solid payroll experience who is ready to move beyond simply completing tasks and take a more analytical approach to their work.

You will:

• Process high-volume payroll accurately and on time across multiple states and business entities.
• Review payroll data, identify discrepancies, and troubleshoot issues before they impact employees.
• Partner with internal teams to research and resolve payroll-related questions.
• Use Excel and payroll systems to review, organize, and analyze payroll information.
• Work with AI-supported systems and new technology designed to improve payroll processes and efficiency.

You have:

• At least 3 years of payroll experience.
• Experience processing high-volume, multi-state, and multi-entity payroll.
• Strong Excel skills, including experience with PivotTables and lookup functions such as XLOOKUP and VLOOKUP.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Comfort working with AI-supported systems and evolving technology.
• An analytical, problem-solving mindset and the ability to look beyond task completion to understand and resolve issues.

Schedule:

Hybrid, with 4 days in the office and 1 day working from home.

The standard rotating schedule includes 4 days from 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. and 1 day from 10:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. CT. We are also open to someone who prefers a consistent 10:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. CT schedule.
