Job summary

SIG SAUER, Inc is seeking a Payroll Specialist to support payroll processing, timekeeping, and data entry in collaboration with HR. You will serve as the primary contact for escalated payroll inquiries, ensure compliance with wage, hour laws, and confidentiality of sensitive information, and help resolve discrepancies.

This contract position requires 2–3 years payroll experience, strong communication and accuracy, and the ability to work across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of payroll experience or related field.
• Strong understanding of wage and hour laws and tax withholdings.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation.
• Ability to navigate payroll processing systems and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Collect, calculate, and enter data into the payroll system and retrieve data when necessary.
• Support processing payroll in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and secure storage per regulations.
• Prepare and distribute payroll reports to internal departments and management.
• Audit employee payroll information including hires, terminations, promotions, and changes.
• Serve as first point of contact for payroll-related questions and concerns.
• Review timekeeping discrepancies and resolve with appropriate departments.
• Coordinate timecard submission and approval with supervisors.
• Process time-off accruals and historical timecard adjustments.
• Protect payroll operations by preserving confidentiality of information.
