Superior Skilled Trades in Richmond is seeking a dynamic Payroll Specialist to coordinate and process payroll for company employees on-site. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate and timely payroll, be tech-savvy with payroll software, and enjoy working directly with employees.

The role is full-time, on-site with standard hours, and requires a strong understanding of payroll systems, tax regulations, and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Prior payroll experience required; experience in construction industry strongly preferred.
• Proficient with payroll systems and tax regulations.
• Proficient in Excel with formulas and pivot tables.
• Timerack and Avionte experience is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is a plus.
• Detail-oriented and accurate in payroll processing.
• Must be comfortable interacting with employees.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll on a weekly basis.
• Calculate wages, deductions, bonuses, and overtime based on records.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
• Handle employee payroll inquiries and resolve issues.

We're looking for a dynamic Payroll Specialist to join our team in Richmond! This is an on-site role where you will coordinate and process employee payroll for company employees. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, be tech savvy with pertinent payroll programs and software, and enjoy working directly with employees!

• Fulltime, Internal Position: Payroll Specialist
• Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Mon-Fri

Core Responsibilities

• Process payroll on a weekly basis.
• Calculate wages, deductions, bonuses, and overtime based on employee records.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
• Handle employee payroll inquiries and resolve issues as they arise.
• Maintain payroll records and reports for auditing purposes.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within the construction industry strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of payroll systems and tax regulations.
• Proficient in Excel, especially with formulas and pivot tables.
• Timerack and Avionte experience a plus.
