Job summary

United Wholesale Mortgage is seeking a payroll specialist to perform payroll, accounting, and administrative duties to support the team. Responsibilities include processing payroll, setting up voluntary deductions, auditing payroll, and resolving issues, with a monthly commissioned-based payroll in addition to weekly payments.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree, 1–2 years payroll experience, and onsite attendance.

Responsibilities

  • Process payroll and audit payroll reports for accuracy.
  • Set up voluntary deductions and maintain W-4 data.
  • Process garnishments and other payroll deductions.
  • Manage work-flow to ensure timely payroll processing.
  • Prepare and review payroll audit reports and resolve issues.
  • Collaborate with Payroll leadership on process improvements and efficiencies.
  • Conduct training sessions to explain payroll policies and procedures.

Job description

Our payroll specialists perform payroll, accounting, and administrative duties to support the team including processing payroll, setting up voluntary deductions, processing and auditing payroll, creating and reviewing audit reports and resolving any issues that may arise. This position will also be required to process a monthly commissioned based payroll in addition to the weekly payments.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Reviews, analyzes and checks payroll forms and report for accuracy and make necessary adjustments or corrections.
  • Sets up and reconcile voluntary payroll deductions, prepares reports, identifies and researches exceptions
  • Processes garnishments which include child support, tax levies, student loans, etc.
  • Manage work-flow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely
  • Researches, analyzes and resolves payroll-related problems or questions
  • Recommends or participates in the development of new procedures and policies related to payroll operations utilizing knowledge of the company, state and federal policies and regulations
  • Compiles payroll reports for both internal and external purpose; submits to supervisor for review
  • Conducts training sessions to explain payroll policies and procedures
  • Perform compliances for unclaimed property and payroll checks
  • Processes and maintains W-4 tax data and changes in personal data
  • Insure the compliance all required entities as well as company policies; identifying financial risks within the department; and financial reporting.
  • Collaborating with Payroll leader on process improvements and efficiencies.
