Talentify is hiring a Payroll Specialist to manage weekly payroll for union and non-union staff at our Nanuet, NY headquarters. The role ensures accurate timesheets, proper coding, approvals, and regulatory compliance, while addressing discrepancies and inquiries promptly.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in payroll processing, experience with high-volume multi-state payroll, and familiarity with ADP/UKG or similar systems.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of payroll processing experience, ideally in construction, engineering, or project-based environments.
• Experience handling high-volume, multi-state payroll.
• Union exposure strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly payroll for union and non-union employees at corporate headquarters.
• Review timesheets for accuracy, ensuring proper coding, approvals, and compliance with project requirements.
• Address payroll discrepancies, adjustments, and employee inquiries in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
• Coordinate with HR, project managers, and field teams to ensure smooth payroll execution.
• Support audits and reporting related to payroll activity.
• Proficiency in payroll processing.
• Experience with union and non-union payroll.
• Knowledge of payroll taxes and deductions.
• Experience with payroll software such as ADP, UKG, or similar.
• Familiarity with timekeeping systems, Kronos preferred.
• Experience in payroll accounting, reconciliation, and reporting.
• Strong analytical skills.

This is a newly created role to support workload through the rest of 2026. The position is fully onsite in Nanuet, with working hours from 8 AM to 5 PM.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Nanuet, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
