Job summary

Superior Skilled Trades is hiring a Payroll Specialist for our Memphis team. This on-site position coordinates and processes payroll for all company employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness while liaising directly with staff.

The ideal candidate has strong payroll systems knowledge, Excel expertise, and experience with timekeeping software. Prior construction industry exposure and a customer-service mindset are preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of payroll systems and tax regulations.
• Proficient in Excel, especially with formulas and pivot tables.
• Timerack and Avionte experience a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field a plus.
• Must be comfortable being employee facing.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll on a weekly basis.
• Calculate wages, deductions, bonuses, and overtime based on employee records.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
• Handle employee payroll inquiries and resolve issues as they arise.

We're looking for a dynamic Payroll Specialist to join our team in Memphis! This is an on-site role where you will coordinate and process employee payroll for company employees. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, be tech savvy with pertinent payroll programs and software, and enjoy working directly with employees!

• Fulltime, Internal Position: Payroll Specialist
• Location: Memphis, TN (onsite)
• Hours: 8: 00 AM - 4:30 PM, Mon-Fri

Core Responsibilities

• Process payroll on a weekly basis.
• Calculate wages, deductions, bonuses, and overtime based on employee records.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
• Handle employee payroll inquiries and resolve issues as they arise.
• Maintain payroll records and reports for auditing purposes.
