Preformed Line Products seeks a Payroll Specialist to manage bi-weekly payroll via ADP for multiple locations. Responsibilities include ensuring payroll accuracy, processing deductions and direct deposits, and auditing 401(k) and benefits withholdings.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Business/Accounting preferred or a combination of a high school diploma and five years of previous Payroll experience.
• Five years of experience performing Payroll with ADP payroll systems is preferred. Payroll tax knowledge required.
• Requires proficiency with Excel, Word and Outlook; must be detail oriented with excellent aptitude for figures.

Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly payroll using ADP for multiple locations.
• Verify accuracy of employee payroll information and reconcile deductions.
• Set up employee banking information for direct deposit.
• Process and remit withholdings/deductions (401k, United Way, Medical, Vision, Dental, Life, HSA, etc.).
• Prepare bi-weekly payroll deposits and tax/wage attachments.
• Send 401K deferrals and loans to Fidelity.
• Resolve payroll discrepancies with ADP client representative.
• Reconcile wage garnishments and medical deductions for hourly employees.
• Maintain Change in Status, tax withholding forms and timesheets.
• Collaborate with HR and outside locations to resolve issues.

As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for the input and output of the bi-weekly payroll through ADP for multiple locations. You will verify the accuracy of employee payroll information in the ADP system and reconcile hourly wage garnishments and medical deductions. This role will also serve as a backup to Officers and the salary payroll.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Reviews and ensures that the payroll is accurately prepared and reflects relative changes for current pay-period.
• Administers bi-weekly preparation of hours input through each outside plant location (Rogers, Albemarle, and Peninsula) and inputs part-time salary hours, reviews and inputs Rogers A&S sick hours.
• Sets up employee banking information for direct deposit of their pay.
• Processes all required and voluntary withholdings/deductions (401k, United Way, 401K Loans, Medical, Vision, Dental, Life, LTD, HSA, HSA match, Flex, Dependent care, Uniforms, Child Support, Garnishments, etc.) for payment.
• Prepares bi-weekly payroll deposits for net payroll, tax and wage attachments, flexible spending and HSA payments for PLP locations.
• Sends bi-weekly 401K deferrals and loans to Fidelity.
• Works with ADP client representative to resolve any payroll discrepancies or issues.
• Reconciles the wage garnishments and medical deductions for hourly employees.
• Files Change in status forms, tax withholding forms, timesheets and all corresponding documents.
• Works with all outside locations and HR to resolve any issues.
• Runs reports in ADP for monthly 401k and Profit Sharing reports before giving to Treasury personnel.
• Is backup person for processing salary and officer’s payroll.
• Process and monitor garnishments and child support orders.
• Verifies and approves self service payroll transactions.
• Process monthly medical billings for employees on a leave/layoff and retirees.
• Enter journal entries for biweekly payrolls for 401K, 401K Loans, HSA, Taxes, and Garnishments.
