Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Must be comfortable with a hybrid schedule in Irving, TX.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Process and validate supplemental pay requests.
• Process and validate off-cycle payroll requests.
• Review payroll information for accuracy, completeness, and data integrity.
• Support payroll adjustments and other special payroll transactions.
• Respond to payroll inquiries within SLAs.
• Research and resolve payroll-related questions and discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation.
• Handle confidential employee and payroll information.
• Assist with payroll system enhancements and process improvements.
• Prioritize recurring payroll responsibilities and time-sensitive requests.
• Collaborate with payroll, HR, and internal business teams.

Payroll Specialist - Hybrid

Location: Irving, TX
Pay: $35.00-$42.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week
Work Arrangement: Hybrid

Contract Length: Approximately 6 months

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to support payroll processing, data validation, employee inquiries, and special payroll transactions for a large corporate organization in Irving, TX.

This position is ideal for someone with hands‑on payroll or HR/payroll operations experience who is detail‑oriented, comfortable working with sensitive employee information, and able to manage recurring payroll deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Process and validate supplemental pay requests.
• Process and validate off-cycle payroll requests.
• Review payroll information for accuracy, completeness, and data integrity.
• Support payroll adjustments and other special payroll transactions.
• Respond to internal and external payroll inquiries within established service‑level expectations.
• Research and resolve payroll‑related questions and discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation.
• Handle confidential employee and payroll information appropriately.
• Assist with payroll system enhancements, process improvements, and departmental projects.
• Prioritize recurring payroll responsibilities along with time‑sensitive requests.
• Work collaboratively with payroll, HR, and internal business teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of relevant payroll, accounting, business, HR, or related work experience.
• Working knowledge of payroll fundamentals and payroll data validation.
• Experience using payroll and/or HR information systems.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Customer‑service mindset with the ability to respond to requests within established deadlines.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
• Must be comfortable working a hybrid schedule in Irving, TX.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• No security clearance is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP.
• Previous experience working within a shared‑services environment or Center of Excellence (COE).
• Experience processing supplemental, adjustment, or off‑cycle payroll transactions.

Pay Range: $35.00-$42.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
