Job summary

DNV in Houston, TX is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our GSS HR payroll team. You will manage the end-to-end payroll for 600+ employees across North America, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance while collaborating with HR and Finance to streamline processes.

The role requires 5+ years of payroll experience, advanced Excel skills, and strong English communication. Hybrid in-office/remote work, with substantial benefits and a focus on data security and policy improvement.

  • Minimum 5 years of payroll experience.
  • Experience managing payroll for 600+ employees.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (Pivot Tables, formulas, and data analysis).
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Resourceful, adaptable, and collaborative team player.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

About the role

DNV is seeking a Payroll Specialist. As a Payroll Specialist, you’ll play an important role in our GSS HR payroll team, making sure payroll processes run smoothly and accurately across North America. Your keen attention to detail will be essential as you review payroll records, spot inconsistencies, and confirm all transactions are completed correctly and on schedule. By verifying information carefully, you’ll help prevent mistakes and keep our payroll operations reliable. Your expertise in analysis and payroll will support compliance and help us continually improve how we manage payroll. When you join our GSS HR payroll team, you become part of a worldwide group of professionals who share a commitment to delivering outstanding payroll services. In this role, you will collaborate closely with various departments, including HR and Finance, to streamline payroll operations and resolve any discrepancies that may arise. This position will be located at our office in Houston, TX - Hybrid Model (3 days in office/2 days remote)

What You’ll Do
