Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team in Greenwood Village, CO. The role focuses on accurate weekly to semi-monthly payroll processing, records maintenance, and responding to employee inquiries, using UKG expertiseto ensure data integrity.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of payroll experience, strong knowledge of payroll regulations, multi-state payroll, and proficiency in Excel.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of payroll processing experience.
  • Hands-on experience using UKG (UKG Pro, UKG Ready, or UKG Dimensions).
  • Strong understanding of payroll regulations, wage and hour laws, and payroll tax requirements.
  • Experience processing payroll for multi-state employee populations preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data reconciliation.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills. CPP certification preferred.
  • Experience supporting payroll for 200+ employees.
  • Experience with timekeeping systems, HRIS platforms, and benefits administration.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Process weekly, bi-weekly, and/or semi-monthly payroll for employees accurately and on schedule.
  • Utilize UKG to manage payroll transactions, employee records, timekeeping data, and payroll reporting.
  • Review and validate payroll data including hours worked, overtime, bonuses, commissions, deductions, and benefit elections.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
  • Audit payroll records and reconcile discrepancies prior to payroll processing.
  • Respond to employee payroll questions regarding earnings, deductions, taxes, and benefits.
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure data integrity within UKG and related systems.
  • Process garnishments, wage attachments, tax levies, and other payroll adjustments.
  • Coordinate with HR, Benefits, and Finance teams to ensure accurate employee data and payroll information.
  • Prepare payroll reports and assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end processes, including W-2 preparation.
  • Support audits and provide payroll documentation as required.
