Overview

Lutron is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our Global Payroll team and play a critical role in delivering an exceptional employee experience through accurate and timely payroll administration. In this role, you will serve as a trusted resource for employees across the United States and Puerto Rico, help them navigate payroll‑related questions, and partner with HR, Benefits, and business teams to ensure payroll processes are seamless and compliant. Responsibilities

• Support time collection activities by reviewing, validating, and troubleshooting time and attendance data.
• Partner closely with HR, Benefits, and third‑party vendors to resolve discrepancies and ensure accurate payroll outcomes.
• Process and maintain payroll exception items, including:
  • Leave of absence pay impacts
  • Third‑party sick pay payments
  • One‑time payment requests, garnishments
• Respond to payroll‑related inquiries from domestic and Puerto Rico employees with professionalism and a customer‑focused mindset.
• Assist with payroll reporting, audits, reconciliations, and process improvement initiatives.
• Maintain the highest level of confidentiality when handling sensitive employee and payroll information.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business, Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 for all degrees earned.
• 3+ years of payroll, HR, accounting, or related administrative experience.
• Experience with SAP, ADP/Celergo, or similar payroll systems preferred.
• Proven attention to detail, commitment to accuracy, and ability to reconcile accounts.
• Excellent organizational, problem‑solving, and customer service skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills preferred, including the ability to analyze, manipulate, and interpret large data sets.
• Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify inefficiencies and recommend process enhancements.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build collaborative partnerships with cross‑functional teams and third‑party vendors.
