Payroll Processor

McMillen, Inc. is looking for a Payroll Processor to join the team in the Boise, ID office. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of payroll experience, with a strong background in multi‑state payroll.

Responsibilities

• Process in‑house payroll on a weekly basis.
• Prepare and submit Davis‑Bacon/prevailing wage certified payroll reports accurately and on time.
• Support the Payroll Manager with processing multi‑state payroll, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Review and verify time sheets, job codes, and cost allocations for accuracy.
• Maintain and update payroll records, including new hires, terminations, wage changes, and deductions.
• Address and resolve employee payroll inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
• Collaborate with accounting and project management teams to support accurate job costing and reporting.
• Support payroll‑related audits and provide required documentation as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; or equivalent relevant experience.
• 3–5 years of payroll experience, preferably in the construction industry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• In‑house payroll processing experience.
• Multi‑state payroll experience.
• Strong organizational and time‑management skills with high attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Experience in a construction company environment, including job costing.
• Experience with Spectrum (preferred).
• Experience with Davis‑Bacon/prevailing wage payroll and reporting (preferred).

Compensation Package

• Pay Range: $50,000 – $70,000 (DOE)
