Job summary

Toppan Packaging Americas seeks an experienced Payroll leader to manage payroll processing through our external partner, ensuring accuracy and data integrity. You will lead payroll staff, drive compliance with payroll laws, and provide strategic insights through data analysis.

Responsibilities include coordinating with the external provider, ensuring timely processing, reporting, and tax filings while supporting HR and finance teams. Remote or on-site flexibility may be limited to location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, business administration, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in HR data management and payroll coordination.
• Strong knowledge of payroll processes, HRIS/HRCM systems, and payroll laws/regulations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in HR software (Workday, ADP Lyric) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and liaise with outsourced payroll provider for accurate, timely processing.
• Manage payroll schedules, deductions, and adjustments with external provider.
• Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to plant/employee inquiries.
• Collaborate with finance for accurate financial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws; prepare required reports.
• Coordinate tax filings and year-end activities with third-party partners.
• Supervise or support payroll staff; provide training and feedback.
• Generate and analyze payroll data to support senior management decisions.
• Liaise with outsourced payroll vendor to meet service levels and negotiate where needed.
• Provide payroll support to plants, HR team, and employees; conduct system training.

Present findings to senior management.Vendor Management: Liaise with outsourced payroll vendor to ensure service level agreements are met. Evaluate vendor performance and provide support in in contract negotiations.Employee Support: Provide support to plants, HR team and employees regarding payroll inquiries.
