Job summary

Edward Jones is seeking a Payroll Analyst to join the Payroll team in the Compensation Operations Department in Tempe, AZ. You will manage US multi-state payroll processing, ensure tax compliance, and partner with HR, Legal, Finance and Product teams to deliver accurate net pay and timely reports.

The role requires 3–5+ years in accounting/finance, strong Excel, and payroll systems experience (PeopleSoft, ADP). A bachelor's degree is required; CPP/FPC/CPA are a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
  • Certifications such as CPP, FPC, PCP, or CPA are a plus.
  • 3–5+ years of relevant experience in accounting/finance, publicly‑accounting experience encouraged.
  • Strong Excel skills and experience navigating large datasets.

Responsibilities

  • Payroll Calculations & Reporting – manage US multi-state payrolls, ensure timely reporting.
  • Develop and execute internal controls for accurate payroll reporting.
  • Support process improvements and complex payroll projects with deadlines.
  • Collaborate with HR, Legal, Finance and Product teams on payroll initiatives.
