Salary Range: $40,000.00 To $45,000.00 Annually

About the Role:

The Payroll Officer plays a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of employee compensation within the organization. This position is responsible for managing all aspects of payroll administration, including calculating wages, deductions, and benefits in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The Payroll Officer collaborates closely with HR and finance departments to maintain payroll records, resolve discrepancies, and support audits. By maintaining confidentiality and accuracy, this role helps foster employee trust and organizational compliance. Ultimately, the Payroll Officer ensures that all employees are paid correctly and on schedule, contributing to overall operational efficiency and employee satisfaction.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience of at least 2 years in payroll processing or administration.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll software ADP
  • Familiarity with federal, state, and local payroll laws and tax regulations in Puerto Rico
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong numerical aptitude.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification such as Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC).
  • Experience working with HRIS systems and integrating payroll data.
  • Knowledge of benefits administration and timekeeping systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in a multi-state payroll environment.
