Job summary

Maxim Healthcare in Columbia, MD (hybrid) seeks a Payroll Manager to oversee weekly payroll operations, ensure accuracy of reports, and lead payroll staff. The role reports to senior management and collaborates with HRIS to maintain internal controls.

A Bachelor's in finance/HR and 5+ years of supervisory payroll experience are required; ADP knowledge and CPP are preferred. The position offers a competitive salary and an $8,000 bonus potential, along with comprehensive benefits and a hybrid work

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, HR, or related field with 5+ years payroll supervisory experience
• Knowledge of payroll software systems, preferably ADP
• CPP preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Manages Payroll staff
• Ensures timely and accurate preparation and administration of payroll operations
• Interprets employment policies and regulations in payroll context
• Maintains payroll records, reports, computations, and audits
• Interacts with HRIS to develop payroll applications and master files
• Provides payroll analysis to ensure compliance with criteria
• Provides leadership to team
• Performs other duties as assigned
