CFS in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a Payroll Manager to lead a large-scale payroll function across multiple states, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficient operations. The role works in a hybrid schedule with some remote days and collaboration with HR, Finance, and business leaders.

You will drive payroll strategy, oversee a payroll team, and implement process improvements and system enhancements to modernize the payroll function while maintaining strong internal controls.

Qualifikationen

• 7+ years of payroll experience with leadership responsibility.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, Business or related field.
• Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll and wage and hour regulations.
• Experience processing Canadian payroll is required.

Salary

$125,000 - $135,000 + Bonus

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day payroll operations for a large, multi-state and multi-location employee population, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing.
• Manage payroll compliance, tax requirements, wage and hour regulations, audits, reconciliations, and year-end reporting.
• Lead and develop the payroll team while partnering closely with HR, Finance, Benefits, and other business leaders.
• Drive payroll system enhancements, process improvements, automation, and standardization to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Serve as the payroll subject matter expert and provide guidance on payroll policies, reporting, compliance, and complex employee payroll issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive payroll experience, including experience managing a payroll team or large-scale payroll operation.
• Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll, payroll tax compliance, wage and hour regulations, and payroll systems.
• Experience processing Canadian payroll required.
