Outfield Healthcare Partners is seeking an organized Payroll & Human Resources Coordinator to join our team. This role balances payroll accuracy, employee support, HR administration, and compliance to help create a positive workplace for our staff and residents.

You will handle payroll processing, onboarding, HR records, benefits, HRIS accuracy, and regulatory compliance while maintaining confidentiality and delivering timely, professional support across departments.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years in healthcare payroll, nursing home or related setting.
  • Minimum 1 year payroll and/or HR experience.
  • Experience with payroll processing, timekeeping, and employee records.
  • Working knowledge of wage and hour regulations and employment laws.
  • Experience with HRIS and payroll software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Process accurate and timely payroll for facility employees.
  • Review timecards, identify discrepancies, and resolve payroll issues with managers and employees.
  • Audit payroll reports and maintain accurate payroll records.
  • Ensure payroll practices comply with federal, state, and local wage and hour regulations.
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding, orientation, and employment paperwork.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee personnel files and HR documentation.
  • Assist with benefits administration, employee leave, and related documentation.
  • Serve as a resource for employees regarding payroll, benefits, policies, and HR-related questions.
  • Support employee engagement, retention, recognition, and workplace culture initiatives.
  • Assist with employee relations and conflict resolution, handling concerns professionally and confidentially.
  • Collaborate with department managers to address staffing needs and HR-related issues.
  • Maintain accurate information within the HRIS and payroll systems.
  • Assist with HR reporting, audits, surveys, and regulatory documentation.
  • Support compliance with company policies and applicable employment laws and regulations.
  • Assist with recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and employee development initiatives.
  • Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive employee information.
  • Perform additional HR, payroll, and administrative duties as assigned.

This position is ideal for an HR professional who enjoys balancing payroll accuracy, employee support, HR administration, and compliance while helping create a positive workplace for our employees and caregivers.

The Payroll & Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for supporting payroll processing, employee onboarding, HR administration, personnel records, benefits, employee relations, HRIS accuracy, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, professional, highly organized, and comfortable handling confidential information and resolving employee concerns.

What You'll Do
  • Process accurate and timely payroll for facility employees.

  • Assist with recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and employee development initiatives.

  • Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive employee information.

  • Perform additional HR, payroll, and administrative duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in healthcare, skilled nursing, long-term care, or a related environment preferred.

  • Minimum 1 year of payroll and/or human resources experience.

  • Hands-on experience with payroll processing, timekeeping, and employee records.

  • Working knowledge of payroll practices, wage and hour regulations, and employment laws.

  • Experience with HRIS and payroll software preferred.

  • Strong conflict resolution and employee relations skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with employees and leaders at all levels.

  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and responsibilities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

  • High level of integrity and discretion with the ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous Skilled Nursing or Long-Term Care experience.

  • Experience with healthcare payroll and timekeeping systems.

  • Experience supporting employee onboarding, orientation, and employee relations.

  • Experience assisting with HR audits, reporting, compliance, and regulatory documentation.

  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
