Job summary

KeenLogic is hiring a Data Entry Clerk I to support the U.S. House of Representatives, CAO, Office of Finance – Payroll and Benefits in Washington, DC. The role handles high-volume payroll paperwork, entering data into Lawson and validating personnel records.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, 1+ year payroll/office experience, and strong Microsoft Office skills. Onsite, temporary assignment with a 40-hour week.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in data entry with high accuracy in a fast-paced setting.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to manage high-volume documentation and calls.

Responsibilities

• Review and process payroll-related paperwork.
• Enter and update employee information in Lawson.
• Process changes to names, addresses, and W-4s.
• Set up insurance deductions for staff.
• Handle new hires, terminations, and salary adjustments.
• Support regular and off-cycle payroll processing.
• Research and validate payroll documentation.
• Resolve payroll issues post-processing.
• Organize and file large volumes of documents.
• Support high-volume call activity and inbound documentation.
