  • Specialized training in relevant HR areas (e.g., federal benefits) or comparable on-the-job training
  • Knowledge of payroll procedures, operations, and processing in automated systems
  • Ability to review and code pay calculations and process payroll transactions
  • Ability to read and prepare correspondence, reports, and statements
  • Ability to communicate procedures and follow instructions
  • Ability to explain information in technical or specialized areas such as insurance and governmental terminology
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle emergencies
  • Ability to analyze, code, and validate data ensuring data integrity
  • Knowledge of and ability to interpret applicable laws, rules, and regulations
