Job summary

AAPC is seeking a Payroll Compliance Auditor to perform compliance audits ensuring proper contributions to labor union benefit fund plans in health, pension, and annuity areas under collective bargaining agreements. The role focuses on accurate audits for clients in a timely and professional manner.

Responsibilities include reviewing employer obligations, conducting on-site reviews (travel may be required), and documenting exceptions in Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business or Mathematical Studies preferred.
• Bookkeeping and/or payroll experience a plus.
• Experience with data analytics and/or advanced Excel skills a huge plus.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Good decision making and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Obtain general understanding of Employer-Union Benefit obligations under various collective bargaining agreements.
• Schedule and perform reviews at employer's locations.
• Some reviews may travel outside the tri-state area.
• Compare payroll data and documentation to employee benefit plan data and reports to confirm correct contributions.
• Expand and prepare a report for any exceptions in an Excel format.
