Daniel A. Winters & Company is seeking a Payroll Auditor to ensure accurate contributions to labor union benefit plans and to perform audits with strong analytical and communication skills.

The role may be performed remotely or on-site with occasional travel and offers comprehensive benefits including health, retirement plans, and CPA support. Salary ranges from $55,000 to $70,000 per year, with full-time exempt status.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in accounting or related field required.
• One year experience with payroll and accounting required.
• Payroll auditing experience a plus.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform compliance audits to ensure accurate contributions paid to labor union benefit plans.
• Maintain understanding of Employer-Union Benefit obligations under CBAs.
• Perform audits remotely or at employers’ locations, with potential travel outside tri-state.
• Compare payroll data and documentation to plan data and reports for correct contributions.
• Work with employers and benefit plan personnel with professional communication on technical topics.
• Prepare detailed analyses in MS Excel for exceptions and communicate resolutions.
• Prepare detailed reports using MS Excel and MS Word.
• Maintain professional demeanor and work proficiency.
