Job summary

RADIX Construction, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to support weekly, biweekly, or monthly payroll processing and related accounting tasks in Portland, OR.

You will handle confidential information and collaborate with HR and management to ensure accurate payments. Responsibilities include entering payroll data, reviewing time records, generating reports, and maintaining payroll records with meticulous accuracy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of payroll, accounting, bookkeeping, or administrative experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist with processing weekly, biweekly, or monthly payroll accurately and on schedule.
• Review employee hours, time records, deductions, reimbursements, and other payroll information.
• Enter and maintain payroll data in company systems, spreadsheets, and databases.
• Verify payroll information and resolve or report discrepancies.
• Prepare payroll reports and maintain accurate payroll records.
• Process approved company payments and prepare checks or payment documents for mailing on behalf of the company.
• Print checks, prepare supporting documents, envelopes, and mailing labels as needed.
• Verify payment amounts and recipient information before payments are mailed.
• Maintain records of payments processed and mailed.
• Organize and maintain confidential payroll and financial documents.
• Assist with payroll-related questions and coordinate with HR, accounting, and management when necessary.
• Assist with other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
