Job summary

P1 Construction is seeking a Payroll Clerk for our Lenexa, KS office. The position supports the Payroll Manager with weekly and biweekly payroll and various accounting tasks in a growing national construction and solutions provider.

Qualified candidates will have at least 2 years of payroll experience, a high school diploma, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Background check and drug screening required; opportunity for growth within a company that values safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of payroll experience.
• Proficient in using email, databases, internet, spreadsheet, and word processing applications (MS Office).
• Willingness to learn new software applications.
• Must satisfactorily pass a criminal background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Regular attendance and working assigned hours at the Lenexa, KS location.
• Assist with weekly and biweekly payroll processing.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure tax compliance.
• Support certified payrolls and monthly union reporting.
• Handle payroll-related inquiries and communicate discrepancies to staff and Payroll Manager.
• Provide liaison between employees and accounting team as needed.
• Backup other accounting duties as required.
