Job summary

Empire Marketing Strategies is seeking a Payroll and Benefit Specialist to own the end-to-end payroll process and recurring benefit billing audits. You will analyze payroll data, resolve discrepancies, and coordinate with payroll providers, benefits vendors, and tax agencies to ensure accurate, timely payroll and compliant billing.

The role requires multi-state payroll experience, Paylocity proficiency, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years payroll processing experience in multi-state environments.
• Experience using Paylocity for payroll processing and HRIS administration.
• Solid knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end payroll processing and related benefit billing audits.
• Audit payroll inputs, reconcile discrepancies, and ensure compliance.
• Prepare W-2s, quarter-end/year-end reporting, and vendor / carrier coordination.
• Generate ad hoc payroll reports for HR, Finance, and leadership.
