Job summary

CFS in Wisconsin is seeking a Payroll & Benefits Specialist to join our team. You will process multi-state payroll for salaried and hourly staff, and optimize HRIS-driven workflows to drive accuracy and efficiency.

You will also manage leave (FMLA and other) and benefit programs, partner with our benefits broker, and support audits and reporting. A background with 3–4+ years payroll experience and HR degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in HR.
• 3-4+ years of payroll processing and benefits administration experience.

Responsibilities

• Process multi-state payroll for salaried and hourly employees.
• Utilize HRIS technology to automate and streamline payroll processes.
• Set up payroll tax and compliance requirements in new states as needed.
• Manage leave administration, including FMLA and other leaves of absence.
• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies while serving as the organization's payroll subject matter expert.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefit programs.
• Build a strong partnership with the company's benefits broker and external vendors.
• Assist with benefits reporting, audits, and ongoing administration.
